The largest police strength in Wales is the Southward Wales Police, and it's it's the seventh largest strength in the Great britain. This police force was originally known as the South Wales Police force. It was formed in 1969 when the Glamorgan constabulary amalgamated with the Cardiff Urban center Police, Merthyr Tydfil Civic Police and the Swansea Civic Police force Force.
